Our sweet firstborn turned three today...I can hardly believe it. We celebrated with one of her party cupcakes this morning at breakfast, with a side of turkey bacon, of course! She was really into the cream cheese frosting, but left the remainder of the cupcake on her plate (strawberry, to be like one of her favorite characters, Pinkalicious). Some time later her little two year old cousin Brett had silently slipped away. And those of us with kids know that quiet usually means trouble. He was perched at our kitchen table devouring that cupcake with the cutest little grin!
We spent the day with our family - my parents, sisters and kiddos - then we were off to the sprayground for our pizza party, bad weather or not. I was a basket of emotions today - stressed when buckets of rain poured all morning, relieved to see the sunshine, then all tensed up again as dark clouds loomed over us an hour before the party was to start. Not to mention my baby is three!!! Where has time gone?? We were so thankful that the weather held off, and a great party was had. So many good friends and our sweet families -- Dru and I feel so blessed!
Big Girl, our Sweet Pea, we love you so much! We are grateful daily that God chose us to be your parents. Your smile, your sweet nature, and your silliness are such a light! We love you from top to bottom, inside and out. Happy birthday, three year old girl!
