Birthday Girl

Amelie turned one on December 27th... she is such an amazing girl. Sweet, cuddly, already showing a very fun, comical personality.

Sweet baby, at one here were all the fun things you were doing:

• crawling (fast) all over the house with great purpose. I could hear your hands slap the floor with great determination to keep up with your big sister, or to crawl away from us in a game of chase
• eating and loving every type of food (except broccoli). And when you were done with a meal, you made it clear! You would swipe all your food off your tray and then push it away as if to say "get me out NOW!" You especially loved a chocolate milkshake after Daddy decided to share a taste with you one day at Chick Fil A. See bday pic below... :)
• you aren't walking yet, but you pull up onto everything and can suddenly scale the stairs faster than I can almost keep up. Gates are now installed!!
• music is absolutely your thing. Anytime we have something on, you sway exactly to the beat. And our playroom is now very well-stocked with any musical toy you can get your hands on. I can't wait for the day that you'll sing, play and dance -- and you'll have a great partner in your big sis! Below are a few photos from you at your music class.

• you give some great, slobbery sweet kisses
• you know where your tummy, nose, eyes and mouth are, and when getting dressed you are sticking out your arms and legs at exactly the right time. You know so much! And you love showing that belly to anyone who will look!

You are the perfect addition to our little family. Thank you for making us Mommy and Daddy again, and for making Maddie the best big sister she could ever be! We love you! Happy Birthday!!!
